Big Chat 7

This was the second time we combined our regular annual review with a Big Chat style event.

Big Chat 7 meets annual review took place on Tuesday 27 September 2016 at Christ Church on Lord Street in Southport.

It was a chance for people to hear about our performance and achievements during 2015-2016, as well as giving their views about some of our key areas of work in the year ahead.

The event focused on the financial challenges being faced by the CCG and those who attended were asked for their views about some of our prescribing and medicines schemes where we believe we can reduce the cost of medicines waste and at the same time improve safety for patients.

It was a chance for us to feedback about how we used views from our previous Big Chat 6 in the design of our repeat prescription ordering pilot – launched in19 GP practices earlier in September.

Attendees were asked for their initial feedback on how the pilot was working so far and they were invited to share their ideas about other areas of healthcare where we might reduce waste, to make services more efficient and effective for our patients.

You can hear from some of the people who came along in this short film below.

We used hand held voting pads at different points throughout Big Chat 7 to get people’s real time feedback, which is recorded in the full presentation from the session.

A summary report of the event captures all the feedback from the event, including key themes from table discussions.

Copies of our annual report and accounts were available for people to take away.
