As the clinical lead for data sharing, David supports Sefton GP surgeries with their obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation and other rules relating to the sharing of health data.  He is passionate that there should be ‘no surprises’ for GP surgeries and their patients when it comes to the sharing of personal data.

David was born and bred in Liverpool, studied Medicine at Cambridge University, returned to Liverpool to train as a GP, and has been a partner at The Corner Surgery in Marshside since 2016. He is the chair of Sefton Local Medical Committee, which is the statutory body that advises and supports GPs in Sefton regarding contractual, financial, medico-legal and health matters.  He is also the locality lead GP for north Southport, and has a keen interest in medical education, being a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

David lives in Aughton with his wife, who is a local paramedic, and his two young children. He enjoys eating out, watching motor racing, looking after his lawns, and playing the church organ.
