Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Living Well Sefton, the local collaboration of wellbeing partners, is pleased to announce the third round of its Community Resilience Grant is being launched this week.

Partnerships and individuals are invited to apply for funding when the grant opens at this year’s Sefton CVS conference on Thursday, 19 October at Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre.

The Living Well Sefton team will be on hand between 9am and 4pm to answer questions about the grant as well as provide information on how its partners can support people in reaching their lifestyle goals.

Grants available include up to £5,000 for partnership applications and £500 to individuals, who are supported by a organisational partner, for projects aimed at improving people’s health and wellbeing. Grants are subject to specific criteria being met and will be approved by a judging panel. Deadline for applications is Thursday, 19 November 2017.

The Community Resilience Grant has already benefited local communities on a range of projects including enhancing wellbeing through gardening or craft workshops, tackling social isolation, providing cooking classes to improve healthy eating and lots more.

Karen Nolan, co-ordinator of Living Well Sefton, explains: “This is your chance of being able to provide a tailored project which will support local people of all ages to feel good about themselves. We look forward to receiving your application.”
